Dog Carrying a Newspaper Figurine Limoges Box
A loyal dog trots in with the morning newspaper held carefully in its mouth, ready for praise and maybe a treat. The whole figure is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France.
Fetching the Morning Edition
Training a dog to bring in the paper was once a point of pride in many households, and the routine still makes people smile. This piece captures that moment, with the folded paper and the dog's coat painted by hand.
Good Dog Gifts
It is a cheerful pick for a dog owner's birthday, a thank-you for a dog trainer or walker, or a retirement present for a journalist or newspaper editor. Anyone who still reads the print edition over coffee will see the joke right away.
