Rochard Easter Bunny Painter Hand-Painted Limoges Box

The Easter bunny has traded his basket for a brush on this playful Rochard box, caught in the middle of a painting. Like the picture on his easel, this porcelain Limoges box was painted by hand, in the workshops of Limoges, France.

An Artist With Long Ears

It is easy to imagine this rabbit decorating eggs for the holiday, or perhaps painting a spring landscape between deliveries. The joke lands twice, since the box itself was painted by hand in the same careful way.

The Rochard Sense of Fun

• A Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Suits an Easter, rabbit or painter themed collection
• Works on an Easter table, a studio shelf or a curio cabinet

A Brush With Spring

Rochard is known for lively subjects and a sense of humor, and this bunny painter fits that style well. Display it with eggs and chicks in April, then move it to an art room or craft corner for the rest of the year.

It makes a fitting present for an art teacher, a weekend watercolorist, or any friend who signs up for every painting class in town.
