The ballpoint is the most familiar pen of all, the one found in every purse, drawer and office cup. Recasting it in pink porcelain turns the ordinary into something worth showing off. Since it is painted by hand, the shade varies slightly from one box to the next.

A pen piece is a classic way to mark a new chapter, so this suits a first job, a promotion, a new business, or a law or nursing school graduation. It also makes a cheerful thank-you for an administrative professional, an office manager, or a favorite teacher.

Keep it on a desk next to the planner, on a reception counter, or on a bookshelf beside journals and notecards. Pen collectors often gather a rainbow of colors, and a soft pink ballpoint adds a lighter touch next to deep blues and blacks. Its hand-painted finish gives each one a personal character.
