Tropical Exotic Fish Porcelain Limoges Box

A tropical fish glides by in a burst of bright color, as if it had just swum out of a coral reef. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, brings that underwater world up onto dry land.

Colors of the Coral Reef

Reef fish are some of the most vividly colored creatures on earth, and this porcelain version makes the most of that palette. Every stripe and fin is painted by hand, so the patterns differ a little from fish to fish, just as they do in the sea.

Making Waves on the Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Joins seashells, sea turtles and dolphins in a sea life collection
• Fits an aquarium, ocean or tropical theme

For Divers and Dreamers

A scuba diver back from a reef trip, a snorkeler who still talks about Hawaii, or a home aquarium keeper would all smile at this one. Set it on a bathroom shelf, a beach house bookcase or a desk beside a real fish tank. It also suits a marine biology classroom or office. Anyone who has watched a reef come alive under the water will recognize the bright, quick energy of these fish.
