Rochard Floral Birdhouse Limoges Box and Lift Off Cardinal

A flowered birdhouse with a cardinal perched on the roof brings a backyard scene to this porcelain box, and the cardinal lifts off as its own piece. Rochard made the set in Limoges, France, and painted it by hand.

A Cardinal Comes Calling

The cardinal is one of the most beloved backyard birds, and many people believe a visit means a loved one is near. Rochard set this one atop a birdhouse covered in blooms, a cheerful home for any songbird. The flowers and bird are brushed by hand, so each set has its own subtle differences.

Backyard Views

Set it on a kitchen windowsill facing the feeders, a sunroom shelf, or a curio cabinet with other birds. It makes a thoughtful present for a bird watcher, a gardener who builds her own birdhouses, or a friend grieving a loss who finds comfort in the sight of a cardinal. It also looks right on a winter mantel, where the cardinal brightens the cold months.
