Scalloped Limoges Box with Dark Blue Stripes and Flowers

Dark blue stripes and painted flowers share the surface of this scalloped box, giving a garden motif a tailored, well-dressed look. It is a Limoges box of hand-painted porcelain, made in Limoges, France.

Pinstripes in the Garden

Stripes bring order and the flowers bring softness, and together they recall the ticking fabrics and wallpapers of a French country house. The scalloped edge adds one more gentle curve, so the box feels both crisp and graceful. Dark blue keeps the overall effect grounded and classic.

Shelf Partners in Blue

This piece settles in beautifully with blue and white china, striped boxes and traditional floral pieces. It also bridges a shelf that mixes bold graphic designs with pretty florals, since it carries a little of both.

• Hand-painted Limoges porcelain made in France
• Fits a striped, floral or traditional French collection
• Works on a writing desk, side table or vanity

French Country Moments

Give it to someone who decorates in blue and white, a friend returning from Provence, or a host who sets a beautiful table. It suits a housewarming, a birthday or a Mother's Day morning equally well. Many collectors find that a striped piece like this pulls together a shelf of mixed florals better than any single flower design could.
