Rochard When Pigs Fly Flying Pig Limoges Box

When pigs fly, the saying goes, and this little porcelain pig is proof that anything is possible. Rochard made this playful Limoges box and painted it by hand in Limoges, France.

Impossible Made Possible

The old phrase about pigs flying has long been used for things that will never happen, which makes it the perfect joke for any long awaited moment. Rochard put the saying into porcelain with a pig taking to the air. Each one is painted by hand, so every flying pig has its own expression.

Cleared for Takeoff

It makes a fun present for the friend who finally finished a degree, the family member who at last retired, or the couple who swore they would never marry and then did. Set it on an office desk, a kitchen windowsill, or a curio cabinet with other farm animals, and wait for visitors to ask about it. It also suits a collector of pig figures who thought they had seen every version.
