Frog on a Green Log Porcelain Limoges Box

A frog perches on a green log, perfectly content at the edge of the pond. This is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, a little woodland scene that brings the sound of summer evenings to mind.

Croaking From the Log

On warm nights, the chorus of frogs from the edge of a pond is one of the great sounds of summer. This piece captures a frog taking its favorite seat, the fallen log that becomes a stage for every evening song.

Leaps and Bounds

Set it on a garden room shelf, a bathroom windowsill or a cabin bookcase. It makes a fun present for a frog collector, a nature lover's birthday, or a thank-you for a biology teacher or park ranger. Families with a backyard pond will recognize the scene right away. Frogs are also a classic symbol of good luck and transformation, which makes it a cheerful token for a fresh start or a new job.
