Goldfish Swimming in a Bowl Porcelain Limoges Box

A bright goldfish circles its round glass bowl on this cheerful porcelain piece, a tiny aquarium that never needs cleaning. Its colors were painted by hand on a porcelain Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Round and Round the Bowl

For many people, a goldfish in a bowl was the very first pet, won at a fair or carried home in a plastic bag. This box brings back that memory, with the fish caught mid-swim and the bowl giving the scene its familiar shape.

The Fish Tank Crowd

• Hand-painted porcelain made in Limoges, France
• Fits a fish, aquarium or pet themed collection
• Pairs with seashell, coral and striped fish pieces

Desk and Windowsill

It is a natural for an office desk, a bathroom shelf with a beach theme, or a sunny windowsill where real fish might once have lived. Aquarium hobbyists, pet shop owners and anyone who has kept a goldfish named after a cartoon character will enjoy it.

It makes a playful present for a new apartment, a dorm room or a colleague's birthday, a pet that asks for nothing at all. Collectors of fish and ocean pieces often use it to add a touch of fresh water to a shelf otherwise full of seashells and sailboats.
