Christmas Tree Limoges Box Trimmed in Gold Garland

Wrapped in shining gold garland, this Christmas tree looks ready for the big night. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, a bit of holiday sparkle that never needs a plug.

Tinsel and Tradition

Garland has wound around Christmas trees for generations, from strands of popcorn and cranberries to glittering gold. This piece captures the golden kind, and because it is painted by hand, the way the garland catches the light differs slightly from box to box.

Deck the Halls

Set it on the mantel among the greenery, at the center of a holiday dessert table, or on a desk at the office for a little seasonal cheer. It makes a festive teacher present, a Secret Santa pick, a hostess thank-you at a holiday party, or a first Christmas memento for newlyweds. Collectors who gather a different tree every year will want it in the lineup.
