Green Apple on a Plate Hand-Painted Limoges Box
A crisp green apple sits on a small plate, ready for a teacher's desk or a farmhouse kitchen. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box was shaped and painted in Limoges, France.
An Apple a Day, Kept Forever
Fruit on a plate is a classic still life subject, and this box borrows that idea in three dimensions. The apple and the plate beneath it are both porcelain, with the color added by hand after firing, so the shade of green can vary slightly from one box to the next.

Top of the Class
An apple has long been the classic thank-you for a favorite teacher, and this one will outlast any lunchbox fruit. Give it at the end of a school year, to celebrate a new teaching post, or to mark a retirement after decades in the classroom. It also suits a baker known for apple pie or a friend who heads to the orchard every September.
On a desk, a bookshelf or a kitchen windowsill, the bright green reads clearly from across the room.
