Rochard Grocery Cart Porcelain Limoges Box

A grocery cart, loaded up for the weekly trip to the market, is the playful subject of this Rochard piece. It is a Rochard Limoges box, porcelain painted by hand in its Limoges workshop in France.

Aisle by Aisle

The grocery run is one of those everyday rituals that ties a household together, from the first shopping list in a new home to the big holiday haul. Rochard turns that ordinary errand into a cheerful porcelain scene. Each cart is painted by hand, so the colors vary slightly from one to the next.

For the Family Provisioner

Give it to the home cook who plans every meal, a new couple setting up their first kitchen, a grocer or market owner, or a retiring supermarket manager. It also makes a funny thank you for the friend who always does the big shopping trip before a party. Set it on a kitchen shelf beside the cookbooks, on a pantry nook ledge, or on a windowsill near the grocery list. Rochard kitchen collectors often like it as a lighthearted counterpart to the more traditional food pieces.
