Holly Leaf Oval Limoges Box by Rochard
Glossy green holly leaves, the oldest sign of the winter holidays, trim this oval porcelain box. It is a Rochard Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Deck the Halls in Green
Long before Christmas trees, holly was brought indoors in the darkest weeks of the year as a sign that green life would return. This oval carries that old custom in a simple botanical form that feels at home from the first of December to the last day of the year.
An Evergreen Oval
The oval shape keeps the design classic and understated. Rochard lets the leaf motif do the talking, with each leaf brushed on by a Limoges painter, so tones of green vary slightly from box to box.
Trimming the Holiday Table
- A Rochard holly design, hand-painted in Limoges
- Pairs with wreath, poinsettia and mistletoe boxes
- Fits a Christmas, winter or botanical collection
Tuck it into a holiday place setting, set it on a dresser beside a candle, or include it in a Secret Santa exchange at the office. A gardener who loves evergreens or a neighbor who hosts the block's holiday party would appreciate it.
