Rochard Hollywood Limoges Box and Removable Film Reel

Bright lights, red carpets and the silver screen all come to mind with this Hollywood themed porcelain Limoges box. Rochard painted it by hand in Limoges, France, and added a little film reel that lifts right off.

Lights, Camera, Porcelain

Hollywood has been the home of American movie making for more than a century, from silent pictures to summer blockbusters. This piece celebrates the golden age of the studios, when premieres drew crowds down Hollywood Boulevard and film reels spun in every neighborhood theater.

Starring the Film Reel

• A Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Sold with a small film reel that lifts away
• Fits a cinema, movie memorabilia or California travel shelf

Premiere Night at Home

Set it beside a framed movie poster, on a media cabinet or in a home theater where guests settle in for the feature. It makes a fun present for an aspiring actor, a film school graduate, an Oscar party host, or a friend just back from a studio tour in Los Angeles.

A French Craft With a Long Run

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high temperatures, and its colors are added by hand afterward. That tradition has had a far longer run than any movie.
