Large Butterfly with Ladybugs Limoges Box

A large butterfly spreads its wings across this retired porcelain box, joined by little ladybugs that seem to have landed for a visit. The whole garden scene was painted by hand in Limoges, France.

A Garden Gathering

Butterflies and ladybugs are two of the most welcome sights in any flower bed, and putting them together gives this piece a lively, sunny feel. The larger size lets the wings make a real statement, while the ladybugs add playful spots of interest.

Friends of the Flower Bed

• A retired design, no longer in regular production
• Fits a butterfly, ladybug or garden collection
• Pairs with flower pot, watering can, bee and birdhouse boxes

Spring on the Windowsill

Let it greet the morning on a sunny windowsill, anchor a shelf of smaller insect boxes, or brighten a sunroom table. It makes a cheerful present for a master gardener, a landscape designer, a spring birthday or a friend who just planted a butterfly garden. Ladybugs are often seen as tokens of good luck, which adds a sweet wish to the present.

Because it is larger than most butterfly boxes, this retired piece can serve as the centerpiece of a garden grouping, with smaller critters gathered around it.
