Large Lemon Porcelain Limoges Box with Ladybug

A ladybug has found its way onto this big, sunny lemon, as if it wandered in from the kitchen garden for a closer look. Made in the large size, this porcelain lemon is a Limoges box fired and brushed with color in Limoges, France.

When Life Hands You Lemons

Citrus has long been a symbol of sunshine and good health in Mediterranean kitchens, and lemons turn up on everything from Provencal tablecloths to Amalfi pottery. Adding a ladybug, a little emblem of good luck, makes this piece even more cheerful.

Squeezed Into the Collection

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Joins lime, orange and other fruit pieces with a ladybug
• Fits a kitchen, citrus or good luck collection

A Bright Spot on the Counter

Set it on a kitchen windowsill, beside a bowl of real lemons, or on an open shelf with yellow and blue dishes. It makes a fun present for a cook who bakes lemon tarts, a friend who just opened a lemonade stand of a business, or a gardener with a Meyer lemon tree on the patio. As a good luck token, the ladybug also suits a new job, a big exam or a move to a new home. The large size lets it hold its own at the center of a fruit grouping.
