Large White Clam Shell Limoges Box No Hinge

A pure white porcelain clam shell box from Limoges, France. This large clam shell is sculpted with deep ridges, just like a shell found on the shore.

Unhinged (no hinge): the lid simply lifts off. There is no metal hinge or clasp, so the piece shows clean, all-porcelain lines.

Its glossy white glaze suits any decor, and it makes a lovely keepsake box or an elegant gift for a collector. New condition.
