Leopard on Black Couch Hand-Painted Limoges Box

A leopard lounging on a black couch is a wonderfully stylish idea, the wild cat at ease in a drawing room. This retired design is a porcelain Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France, and it has plenty of attitude for its size.

Spots on the Sofa

The joke here is easy to enjoy: a big cat that has decided the furniture belongs to it, just as any house cat would. The black couch sets off the leopard, and the combination feels at once glamorous and funny.

Jungle Meets Parlor

• A retired design pairing a leopard with a black couch
• Fits a big cat, leopard print or furniture themed collection
• Pairs with tiger, cat on chair and vanity pieces

Made for the Drawing Room

Give it a spot on a glass coffee table, a dressing table, or a shelf in a room decorated with animal prints. It is a witty birthday present for a friend with bold taste, a housewarming token for a newly furnished living room, or a thank you for an interior designer.

Collectors who like a bit of fashion in their porcelain tend to fall for this one quickly, and it holds its own beside far larger decorative pieces.
