Light Blue Limoges Box with Pink Flowers

Pink flowers are painted across a light blue rectangle, a soft pastel pairing that brings to mind a spring sky over a blossoming orchard. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, with clean lines and a gentle palette.

Blossoms Against the Sky

Pink on blue is one of the most classic combinations in French decorative arts, seen on fabrics, wallpapers and fine china. The rectangle gives the flowers a tidy frame, almost like a small painted panel. Each bloom is applied by hand in Limoges, so the details vary from box to box.

A Thank You That Lasts

Many owners keep rings, a favorite note or a pressed flower inside, so it becomes part of the daily routine.
