Tall Scalloped Limoges Box in Light Blue Stripes

Scalloped sides ripple around this tall porcelain box, and crisp light blue stripes follow the curves from base to rim. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, with a lid that repeats the same scalloped outline.

Ruffled Edges, Clean Lines

The scallops give the piece a soft, pie crust silhouette, while the stripes keep it tailored and fresh. It is a happy balance between frilly and plain, the sort of design that suits a cottage bedroom as easily as a crisp city apartment. Each stripe is set by hand in Limoges, so spacing varies a hair from one box to the next.

Breathing Room on the Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Gives the eye a rest among busier floral boxes
• Pairs with striped eggs and tall round boxes in the same light blue

Linen Closet to Writing Desk

Its height and neat pattern make it right at home on a vanity, a writing desk or a bathroom shelf beside folded linen towels. It suits a birthday, a housewarming or a thank you for a weekend stay. Gathered with the tall round and egg versions in the same stripe, it makes a small, coordinated set that looks deliberate without trying too hard.
