Turn It Up

This makes a fun present for a DJ, a radio host, a band member or anyone who still keeps a shelf of albums. It also suits a sound engineer celebrating a work anniversary, or a friend who spent the nineties making mix discs for everyone they knew.

Old Craft, New Subject

Porcelain has been made in Limoges since the late 1700s, when kaolin was found near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in 1768. Painters there have taken on everything from royal portraits to modern gadgets, and a CD player shows how wide that range has become. Set it next to a stereo, on a media shelf, or on a home office desk.
