Orange Flower with a Bee Porcelain Limoges Box

An orange blossom opens wide to welcome a passing bee on this warm toned flower box. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, glowing with the colors of a late summer garden.

Marigold Afternoon

Orange flowers bring warmth to any garden bed, from zinnias to marigolds to poppies. Here the open petals form a bright landing pad, and the bee adds a sense of motion, as if the visitor will move on to the next bloom any moment.

Busy in the Garden

Set it on a sunroom windowsill, a potting shed shelf or a kitchen table with a jar of fresh cut zinnias. It is a natural present for a beekeeper, a master gardener, or a friend whose favorite color is orange. In the fall it fits beautifully with autumn decor, and it makes a cheerful thank-you for a neighbor who shares honey from the hive each year.
