Open Yellow Flower and Bee Limoges Box

An open yellow flower, petals spread wide, plays host to a visiting bee on this medium sized box. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, capturing a busy little moment from a spring garden.

Nectar Time

Bees and open blossoms are one of nature's great partnerships, and this piece freezes the moment the bee lands. The sunny petals frame the visitor, so the whole design reads like a close-up photograph taken on a warm May afternoon.

Hives and Windowsills

Set it on a kitchen windowsill above the herb pots, on a garden room shelf or on a nightstand next to a vase of fresh cut flowers. It is a natural present for a beekeeper, a gardener who plants for pollinators, or a spring birthday. Honey producers and farmers market vendors will enjoy it as a thank-you, and it fits nicely into a seasonal rotation from April through August.
