Rochard Mini Butterfly on a Daisy Limoges Box

A tiny butterfly rests on a daisy in this miniature porcelain piece, as light and fleeting as a summer afternoon. Rochard paints the mini Limoges box by hand in Limoges, France, proof that small things can carry a lot of charm.

A Daisy-Fresh Moment

Daisies stand for innocence and cheerful simplicity, and butterflies for change and renewal, so together they make a gentle, hopeful pairing. Rochard keeps the scale petite, and each piece is brushed by hand, so the petals and wings differ slightly every time.

Tuck It Anywhere

Thanks to its mini size, it fits on a windowsill beside a potted herb, on a jewelry tray, or in the front row of a crowded curio. It makes a sweet token for a friend recovering from surgery, a graduate, a bridesmaid or a gardener. Spring birthdays, Easter and Mother's Day suit it beautifully, and many people give a butterfly in memory of someone dear.
