Mini Sailboat Hand-Painted Limoges Porcelain Box
Sails up and ready for the breeze, this mini sailboat brings a touch of the harbor to any shelf. It was shaped in porcelain and painted by hand as a Limoges box in Limoges, France, and its small size makes it easy to place almost anywhere.
Fair Winds Ahead
Sailboats stand for freedom, summer weekends and the pleasure of going wherever the wind allows. Even in miniature, this one carries that feeling of open water and long days on deck.
Anchored on the Bookshelf
- Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
- Fits a sailing, nautical or lake house collection
- Pairs with lighthouse, anchor and seashell pieces
Shipshape and Small
Set it on a cabin mantel, a beach house windowsill or an office desk as a daily reminder of the next voyage. It makes a fitting present for a sailor, a yacht club member, a new boat owner, or a friend retiring to the coast.
Because it is a mini piece, it fits comfortably in a crowded curio cabinet and makes a nice companion to larger nautical boxes. Sailors often say the best boat is the one you are on, but this little one never needs a mooring fee.
