Orange and Yellow Gourd Porcelain Limoges Box
An orange and yellow gourd, plump and freshly picked, captures the warm colors of an October farm stand. This gourd is a porcelain Limoges box, its autumn colors laid on by hand in Limoges, France.
Farm Stand Colors
Ornamental gourds pile up in bushel baskets every fall, each one a different twist of shape and color. This one forms the box in rich orange and yellow, with the shading painted by hand so it looks just pulled from the vine.
A Thanksgiving Table Accent
Tuck it among candles and leaves on a Thanksgiving centerpiece, set it on a mantel with pumpkins, or let it sit on a kitchen windowsill all season. It makes a warm hostess thank you at a harvest dinner, a birthday present for an autumn baby, or a present for a farmer or market grower.

Fall collectors often group several gourds in different colors, and the orange and yellow version is the one that brings the most warmth to the arrangement.
