Flower on Puffy Quad Shape Hand-Painted Limoges Box

Soft, rounded sides give this puffy quad shaped box a gentle, pillowy look, and a single painted flower crowns the design. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, in one of the more unusual classic shapes.

Pillow Soft Porcelain

The puffy quad form looks almost cushioned, as if the porcelain had been gently inflated. That rounded silhouette makes the flower stand out, framed by curves rather than sharp corners.

One Bloom, Four Curves

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a floral, classic shape or vanity collection
• Pairs with round, oval and heart shaped floral boxes

A Soft Touch for the Dresser

Set it on a dresser, a vanity tray or a bedside table where its rounded shape can be appreciated up close. It makes a thoughtful present for a mother, a sister or a friend who prefers classic floral boxes to novelty shapes.

Collectors who focus on shapes rather than subjects often seek out the puffy quad, since it is less common than the familiar round and square boxes. Beside a row of plain-sided boxes, its cushioned outline catches the eye right away.
