Rabbit Sitting in a Little Boat Limoges Box
A rabbit sits snugly in a little boat, as if drifting across a quiet pond on a spring afternoon. This porcelain piece is a hand-painted Limoges box, crafted in Limoges, France, with the boat and its passenger forming the whole design.
Bunny Ahoy
Rabbits are usually pictured in gardens and meadows, so finding one afloat gives this box a gentle sense of humor. It brings to mind storybook adventures and lazy days by the water, when the only plan is to see where the current goes. Each rabbit and boat is painted by hand, so no two finished boxes match exactly.
