Rochard Farmyard Rooster Limoges Box
A farmyard rooster stands ready to greet the dawn with a crow. This bird is a Rochard Limoges box, porcelain made and hand-painted in Limoges, France.
Cock-a-Doodle Dawn
The rooster is the first voice of the farm each morning, a symbol of waking, watchfulness and good fortune. In France he means even more, since the Gallic rooster has been a national emblem for centuries and still appears at sporting events and on old monuments.
A French Country Classic
From Provençal kitchens to farmhouse tables, the rooster is a favorite motif of French country style. Rochard brings that tradition to porcelain, each bird painted by hand so his feathers and colors vary slightly from one to the next.
