Rochard Rubber Duck and Yellow Soap Limoges Box

A cheerful rubber duck sits beside a bar of yellow soap, ready for a splashy bath time. This playful piece is a Rochard Limoges box, porcelain colored by hand in Limoges, France.

Rubber Ducky, You're the One

The rubber duck has been a bath time favorite for generations, a little yellow friend that floats along with the bubbles. Paired with a bar of yellow soap, this porcelain version brings that same sunny cheer to a shelf.

Bubbles and Baby Showers

This makes a sweet baby shower present, a new parent welcome, or a christening remembrance. It also brightens a guest bathroom, a powder room shelf or a spa style vanity, where the duck adds a light, happy note.

Shaped by Fire

Limoges has made porcelain since the late 1700s, ever since fine white kaolin clay was found near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in 1768. Every rubber duck like this one still passes through the kiln before a painter adds its sunny color by hand.
