Santa Inside a Cozy Fireplace Limoges Box

Santa has made it down the chimney and now stands inside a cozy fireplace, ready to fill the stockings in this warm holiday scene. The piece was painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France, as a Limoges box full of Christmas spirit.

Warm by the Hearth

There is something wonderfully homey about Santa appearing in the fireplace, as if he has just arrived and is about to dust off the soot. The cozy setting calls to mind crackling logs, hot cocoa and a living room glowing with tree lights. It is a scene that makes every collector smile.

Gathered Round the Fire

Display it on the mantel itself, of course, or on a hearth-side table where it echoes the real fireplace. It makes a lovely present for a family that hosts Christmas morning, a fireplace installer, a new homeowner with a first working hearth or a grandparent who leaves cookies out for Santa every year.
