Santa Atop the Chimney Christmas Limoges Box
Perched on top of the chimney and about to make his descent, Santa pauses for a moment on the rooftop in this festive scene. Hand-painted on porcelain in Limoges, France, this Limoges box captures the instant before the magic happens.
A Rooftop Pause
Before he slips down into the living room, Santa has to land on the roof and find the right chimney. This box freezes that moment, with the whole house waiting quietly below. It is a cheerful, storybook scene that families have imagined for generations.
High Above the Hearth
- Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
- Fits Santa, rooftop and Christmas Eve collections
- Pairs well with sleigh, reindeer and stocking boxes
Up on the Housetop
Set it on the fireplace mantel directly above the stockings, on a windowsill facing the street, or in a holiday curio. It makes a fine present for a roofer, a chimney sweep, a new homeowner celebrating a first Christmas in the house or a grandparent who sings Up on the Housetop every year. Santa collectors often place it beside a chimney-crawling piece to tell the full story.
It brings a little rooftop excitement to any holiday grouping.
