Rochard Justice Scales Limoges Box for the Legal Profession
The scales of justice, balanced and steady, take center stage on this Rochard box made for the legal world. It is hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France, a classic symbol rendered in miniature.
Weighing Every Word
The balance scale has stood for fairness since ancient times, held aloft by Lady Justice over courthouse doors around the world. For lawyers, judges and everyone who works in a courtroom, it is a daily reminder of what the profession is about. Rochard paints the symbol by hand, giving the pans and beam a careful finish.
