Rabbits on a See-Saw Porcelain Limoges Box

Two rabbits share a see-saw here, one riding high while the other sits low, as if the game could tip the other way at any second. The scene is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made and decorated in Limoges, France.

Ups and Downs in the Burrow

A see-saw only works with a partner, and that is the charm of this piece. Instead of a single bunny posed on its own, you get a little story about balance and friendship, with the plank and its pivot forming the body of the box. Because the colors are brushed on by hand, each finished box has its own small differences.

Hopping Into a Spring Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a rabbit, bunny or Easter grouping
• Pairs well with garden, carrot and springtime pieces

Two by Two Occasions

Since the scene needs two riders, it suits gifts about pairs: best friends, sisters, twins or a couple marking an anniversary. It also works as an Easter basket surprise for a grown collector, or as a birthday nod to someone born in spring. Place it at eye level on a curio shelf or a sideboard, where the angle of the board can be seen clearly.
