Rochard Shetland Sheepdog Limoges Box with Removable Ball

Bright eyed and ready to play, a Shetland sheepdog waits for the next toss of its ball, which lifts away from the piece. Rochard created this Sheltie as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Herding Instincts

Shelties come from the windswept Shetland Islands off Scotland, where they herded sheep, ponies and poultry on small farms. They are clever, loyal and famously eager to please, often topping obedience and agility competitions. A ball is the perfect companion for such an energetic little dog, and any Sheltie owner knows the game of fetch never really ends.

Fetch and Fun

• A Rochard dog piece, painted by hand in Limoges, France
• Comes with a ball that lifts away
• Pairs well with collie, Labrador and pug boxes

Sheltie Corner

Place it on a desk beside a photo of your own Sheltie, an entry table by the leash or a shelf of dog breed pieces. It makes a lovely present for a Sheltie owner, an agility trainer, a dog show handler, or a gentle remembrance for a faithful companion who has crossed the rainbow bridge.
