Rochard Winter Snowman Porcelain Limoges Box

A jolly snowman, all set for the first snowfall of the season, takes center stage in this winter porcelain box. It is a Rochard piece, a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Built After the First Snowfall

Rolling the first snowman of the year is a winter ritual in so many homes, from rolling the base to finding just the right hat. This porcelain snowman captures that happy tradition, and Rochard's playful approach to seasonal subjects gives it warmth even in the coldest months. It brings to mind mittens drying by the radiator and cocoa waiting on the stove.

Winter on the Windowsill

Bring it out in December and let it stay through February on a mantel, a holiday table or a frosty windowsill. It is a cheerful present for a winter birthday, a ski trip host, a teacher before the holiday break, or anyone who collects snowmen in every form. Families often make it part of their yearly decorating ritual, setting it out the day the first flakes fall.
