Round Sunburst Design Porcelain Limoges Box

Rays of a bright sunburst spread across this round porcelain box, bringing a little sunshine to any shelf it sits on. It was made and hand-painted in Limoges, France, as a classic round Limoges box.

Here Comes the Sun

The sunburst is one of the oldest decorative motifs in the world, found on everything from Egyptian art to the golden mirrors of Versailles, where Louis XIV called himself the Sun King. On a small round box it feels cheerful and timeless at once.

Rays for Every Season

• Round porcelain box painted by hand in Limoges, France
• Fits a sun, summer, celestial or mid century collection
• Pairs well with moon, star and sunflower pieces

Sunny Spots and Bright Occasions

A windowsill, a sunroom shelf or a breakfast nook table suits this box perfectly. It makes a bright birthday present for a summer baby, a cheerful get well token, or a housewarming piece for someone moving to Arizona, Florida or another sunny place. In the dark months of winter it is a small reminder that longer days are on their way, and it lifts a curio shelf full of pastels and florals with a single warm accent.
