Yellow Sunflower Hand-Painted Porcelain Limoges Box

Bright yellow petals radiate from the center of this porcelain sunflower, a cheerful bloom that seems to carry its own sunshine. The flower forms the whole Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Following the Sun

Sunflowers turn their faces to the light, and they have become a symbol of warmth, loyalty and happy days. This one brings late summer fields indoors, no matter what the weather is doing outside the window.

Golden Petals All Year

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a flower, garden or late summer collection
• Pairs with bee, ladybug and harvest pieces

Sunshine on the Windowsill

A sunny windowsill, a kitchen table or a bedside shelf all suit it well. It makes a bright birthday present for an August baby, a get-well token, a thank-you for a garden club host, or a cheerful note for someone who needs a lift.

Painted After the Kiln

Limoges boxes are usually painted by hand after the white porcelain is fired, and their metal mounts are fitted by hand as well. That two-step craft is what gives a simple flower like this one its glow.
