Tall Multicolor Round Porcelain Limoges Box

A lively mix of colors covers this tall round porcelain box, giving it a bold, snazzy look that refuses to blend into the background. It was painted by hand in Limoges, France, as a tall traditional Limoges box.

A Burst of Bold Color

Many traditional boxes keep to quiet pastels, but this one celebrates color in every direction. Its height lifts that cheerful palette above shorter pieces, so it catches the eye from across a room.

Standing Out in the Crowd

• A tall round porcelain form, painted by hand in Limoges, France
• Fits a multicolor, bold or modern leaning collection
• Brightens a row of white, blue or pastel boxes

Kilns, Clay and Color

Limoges has been a porcelain town since fine kaolin clay was found nearby in 1768, and its hard paste porcelain is fired at very high heat before painters add their colors by hand. A piece this bright suits an artist's studio, a sunny kitchen shelf or a playful dorm room desk. Give it to a friend with an eclectic eye, a graduate starting fresh, or anyone who believes life is too short for beige.
