Terrier Dog on Plaid Porcelain Limoges Box
A terrier sits proudly against a plaid design on this hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. Made in Limoges, France, it pairs a spirited small dog with a pattern that feels as cozy as a wool blanket.
Tartan and Terrier
Terriers and tartan both trace their roots to the British Isles, so the combination feels perfectly natural. The dog, which resembles a Yorkshire Terrier, and the plaid background are painted by hand, so the colors and checks vary slightly from one box to the next.

Who Will Call It Theirs
It is a fine choice for a family with a terrier at home, a breeder of Yorkies or Cairns, or someone with Scottish heritage who loves their clan tartan. It also makes a cozy autumn birthday present, a thank-you for a dog sitter, or a gentle remembrance of a terrier who has passed on.
Set it on a mantel beside a plaid throw, on a study shelf, or among other dog figurines. It looks especially warm in a room with wood paneling, leather chairs and a crackling fire.
