Parrot Guarding a Pirate Treasure Chest Rochard Limoges Box

A sharp-eyed parrot keeps watch over a pirate treasure chest, ready to squawk at anyone who comes too close to the loot. This Rochard piece is a porcelain Limoges box, hand-painted in Limoges, France.

X Marks the Spot

Every pirate tale needs a buried chest and a loyal bird on the captain's shoulder, from Treasure Island to the swashbuckling films that followed. Rochard combines the two in one lively scene, and the hand-painted details make the parrot and the chest stand out.

Booty for the Bookshelf

Set it on a shelf in a game room, a beach house decorated with nautical maps, or a study next to a ship model and a brass compass. It also brings a playful touch to a bar themed after the Caribbean, near a bottle of rum and a few shells.
