Turtle on Sand Rochard Limoges Box, Removable Egg

$334.00 $0.00

A turtle rests on a patch of sand beside a removable porcelain egg, a quiet beach scene from nesting season. Rochard made this Limoges box and painted the turtle, sand and egg by hand in Limoges, France.

Nesting Season on the Shore

Every summer, sea turtles return to the beaches where they hatched to lay their own eggs in the warm sand. Rochard captures that remarkable cycle in one small piece. The separate egg adds a sweet touch, and the hand painting gives each finished box its own character.

Shoreline Companions

  • A Rochard turtle design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
  • Joins whale, seashell and flamingo pieces
  • Fits a beach, sea life or turtle collection

Slow and Steady Celebrations

This makes a lovely present for a turtle collector, a conservation volunteer who walks the beach at dawn, or a family back from a seaside vacation in Florida or the Carolinas. It also suits a baby shower, since the egg hints at a new arrival on the way. Set it on a beach house shelf, a bathroom vanity with shells, or a desk as a reminder that slow and steady wins the race. Turtle collectors often say this is the one that started their search for more.
