Two Cherub Angels on Blue Base Rochard Limoges Box

Two cherub angels sit together on a blue base, and a small arrow lifts away from the pair. This Rochard porcelain box was painted by hand in Limoges, France, a soft and sweet piece about love and watching over someone.

Cupid's Arrow, Set Aside

Cherubs have stood for affection since Renaissance painting, often with bows and arrows tucked under their wings. Here the arrow comes off, so the angels can be shown ready to aim or simply resting. The blue base gives the pair a calm sky beneath them, and the painters bring out the faces and wings by hand.

A Heavenly Pair

• A Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Joins angel, heart and wedding subjects
• Fits a cherub, Valentine or faith themed collection

For Love and Blessings

Give it on Valentine's Day, at a bridal shower, or at a wedding anniversary. It also makes a gentle present for twins, sisters, or two best friends who look after each other, and a quiet remembrance after a loss. A dresser top, a nightstand or a curio shelf with soft light suits it best.
