Cat on Trash Can Hand-Painted Limoges Box

A cat perches proudly on top of a trash can, surveying its alley kingdom like a tiny furry monarch. Limoges painters in France brought this funny porcelain box to life entirely by hand.

King of the Back Alley

Every neighborhood has a cat that rules the alley, and this one has clearly claimed the best seat in the house. The scene is full of street-smart personality, and since the fur and the can are brushed by hand, each box has its own small quirks of color.

Tomcat Tales

Cat owners tend to laugh out loud at this one, because anyone who has shared a home with a cat knows how they love to climb on whatever they should not. It also suits a volunteer at an animal shelter, a veterinarian, or a friend who adopted a scrappy rescue that still acts like it owns the block.

Purr-fect Shelf Mates

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits cat, city street and humor collections
• Pairs with other cat and dog figure boxes

Set it on a kitchen shelf, a home office desk or a curio cabinet full of feline pieces. It makes a fun birthday present, a housewarming laugh, or a thank-you for a sanitation worker or a city maintenance crew member with a good sense of humor. A sweet reminder that every alley cat has its own proud story to tell.
