Limoges Halloween Ghost Holding a Jack O Lantern

A friendly ghost floats along holding a jack o lantern, as if heading out for a night of trick-or-treating. The pair is hand-painted porcelain, shaped as a Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Lantern for the Long Night

Jack o lanterns were first carved to light the way and scare off wandering spirits, so a ghost carrying one is a playful twist. This ghost seems more interested in candy than in haunting anyone. The design keeps Halloween fun and lighthearted, the kind of piece everyone in the house enjoys.

Trick or Treat Trail

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a Halloween, October or ghost collection
• Pairs with bat, spider and haunted house pieces

Porch Light Placement

Set it in an entry where trick-or-treaters gather, on a mantel among candles, or in a curio with other Halloween boxes. It makes a fun present for a fall birthday, a Halloween party hostess or a friend who decorates for October the moment September ends. Pair it with the pumpkin-head ghost for a ghostly duo on the shelf.

Fired Hard in Limoges

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat, which lets painters add fine detail to even a playful ghost.
