Snail Figurine Limoges Box

A garden snail, curled shell and all, takes its time on this porcelain figurine box. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and it brings a slow, friendly visitor from the flower bed onto the shelf.

Taking the Scenic Route

Snails have a way of making people smile, perhaps because they never seem in a hurry. The spiral shell is a natural sculpture in its own right, and in porcelain it becomes a charming reminder to slow down and enjoy the garden.

A Friend to the Garden Set

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France

Who Will Smile

Gardeners, nature walkers and anyone who has stopped to watch a snail cross a path will enjoy this one. It suits a birthday, a thank-you to a garden club host, or a lighthearted present for a friend who takes life at an easy pace.

A Spot in the Sun

Set it on a windowsill beside potted herbs, on a sunroom shelf or among other small creatures in a curio cabinet. In French kitchens snails have their own culinary fame, so it can also be a playful touch on a kitchen shelf.
