Yellow Flowers Hand-Painted Porcelain Limoges Box

Yellow flowers spread across this porcelain box like a patch of buttercups catching the afternoon sun. Each bloom on it was painted by hand in Limoges, France.

A Meadow of Gold

Yellow flowers stand for friendship, joy and new beginnings, which gives this little box a naturally upbeat feeling. The blossoms are brushed on one at a time, so the shades of gold and the placement of each flower vary slightly from piece to piece.

Friendship in Full Bloom

• Decorated with painted yellow flowers
• Fits floral, garden and vanity collections

Where Sunshine Settles

Set it on a vanity, a windowsill or a bedside table, where its color can brighten the start of each day. It sits nicely beside the yellow oval floral box, sunflower pieces or a vase of fresh daffodils.

Give it to a best friend just because, to a neighbor who always waves hello, or to someone starting a new job or moving into a new home. It also makes a cheerful get-well wish, a spring birthday surprise or a thank-you for a teacher or nurse. Anyone whose favorite color is yellow will feel right at home with it. Small porcelain boxes first became popular in 18th-century France for carrying snuff and beauty patches, and this one carries a little sunshine instead.
