Yellow Masked Fish with Black Stripe Limoges Box

A yellow masked fish with a bold black stripe darts across the reef in sharp, graphic colors. It is a porcelain Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France, with a tropical spirit.

Behind the Mask

Masked fish get their name from the dark band across the eyes, and this one wears it with style. The black stripe against bright yellow gives the piece a clean, striking look, like a reef fish caught in a flash of sunlight.

Yellow and Black on the Reef

• Yellow masked fish with a black stripe
• Fits a fish, reef or ocean collection
• Pairs with the other striped and tropical fish boxes

A Splash for the Beach House

Set it on a beach house shelf, a bathroom vanity with seashells, or line it up with other colorful fish to build a little reef. It makes a fun present for a diver who has seen the real thing, an aquarium keeper, or a friend heading off on a tropical vacation. Collectors of fish boxes often look for the yellow and black pieces to anchor a bright display. Each fish is painted by hand, so the mask and stripe vary a little from piece to piece.
