Yorkshire Terrier on Pink Base Rochard Limoges Box

A Yorkshire terrier rests on a pink base, all personality packed into a small frame. Rochard made this Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France, for anyone who has fallen for a Yorkie.

Big Heart, Small Dog

Yorkies were first bred in northern England, and they have kept their bold spirit ever since. The pink base gives this little terrier a pretty stage. Every detail is painted by hand, so each finished dog has its own slight variations.

For Every Yorkie Parent

This makes a sweet present for a Yorkie owner on a birthday, a groomer who knows every dog by name, or a breeder celebrating a new litter. It can also be a gentle remembrance for a family who has lost their small companion. Set it on a vanity, a nightstand or a sunny windowsill, the very places a real Yorkie likes to perch. Dog breed collectors often look for each breed on a different colored base, and the pink makes this one easy to spot.

Since the Late 1700s

Porcelain has come out of Limoges since the late 1700s, made possible by kaolin found near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in 1768.
